# Private Locations

Deploy a Private Location in your network to discover and test internal applications. Private Locations enable you to:

- Discover applications behind firewalls or VPNs
- Test internal APIs and services
- Maintain complete control over scanning traffic
- Customize scanning behavior for your environment

Private Locations are shared across all projects in your organization. Creating, editing, and deleting them requires the global Admin permission.

## Quick Start

1. Follow the [Quickstart](<https://docs.escape.tech/documentation/platform/private-location/quickstart/index.md>) to deploy with Helm in a few minutes
2. Check the [technical prerequisites](<https://docs.escape.tech/documentation/platform/private-location/prerequisites/index.md>)
3. Choose your [deployment method and transport](<https://docs.escape.tech/documentation/platform/private-location/deployment/index.md>)
